Merge Two Sorted Linked Lists

Problem

Merge two sorted linked lists. Input and output are serialized as arrays.

Examples

Example 1
Input: {"a":[1,2,4],"b":[1,3,4]}
Output: [1,1,2,3,4,4]
Example 2
Input: {"a":[],"b":[3]}
Output: [3]

Input and output use JSON-compatible values. For linked-list and tree questions, arrays represent the node structure as described above. Your code should implement solve(input).

How to solve Merge Two Sorted Linked Lists

Merge two sorted linked lists. Input and output are serialized as arrays. Use two current pointers and always choose the smaller value. The reference implementation illustrates this approach; check the example and edge cases.

Time and space complexity

O(n+m) time; O(n+m) output space.

Practise and improve

Choose JavaScript, TypeScript or Python, complete the starter code, then select Run Tests. Request a hint when you need guidance, or choose View solution and confirm if you would like to study the reference implementation.
