Problem

Return the kth largest array element, counting duplicate values.

Examples

Example 1

Input: {"nums":[3,2,1,5,6,4],"k":2}

Output: 5

Example 2

Input: {"nums":[3,2,3,1,2,4,5,5,6],"k":4}

Output: 4

How to solve Kth Largest Element

Return the kth largest array element, counting duplicate values. Sorting gives a simple baseline; quickselect can be faster on average. The reference implementation illustrates this approach; check the example and edge cases.

Time and space complexity

O(n log n) time with sorting; O(n) expected with quickselect.
