Problem

Merge closed intervals that overlap or share a boundary.

Examples

Example 1

Input: [[1,3],[2,6],[8,10],[15,18]]

Output: [[1,6],[8,10],[15,18]]

Example 2

Input: [[1,4],[4,5]]

Output: [[1,5]]

Input and output use JSON-compatible values. For linked-list and tree questions, arrays represent the node structure as described above. Your code should implement solve(input).

How to solve Merge Overlapping Intervals

Merge closed intervals that overlap or share a boundary. Sort by interval start then merge into the last interval if needed. The reference implementation illustrates this approach; check the example and edge cases.
